Try traceroute.
If DNS Lookup is active, you can see the servers in the 'route'.
Also, if the 'reverse lookup' is set for the IP in question, the name can
be found.
eg.
nslookup
> 100.200.300.400
Server: yourdns.co.in
Address: 1.2.3.4
Name: a.b.c.it
Address: 100.200.300.400
-------
In this case, we can know that the server is in Italy....
