Yes. Linux does support SMP. Upto 16 processors I guess. (Performance
wise, you don't get much improvement beyond 4 processors. I remember
reading this somewhere. Searching on google.com is the best bet)

Forgive my ignorance, but what does the question "does it have all the
tool for its development? " mean?
