RE: Messages

hi all,

i see that the printk logged to/var/log/messages gets updated faster. ie,
faster than when it gets printed on to console. is there any 'flow ctrl'
in-built in tty driver? if so, can printk 'block' when writing to console
in a debugging session? will it change subtle 'timing' aspects of system
under scrutiny?
