x86 boxes support both segmentation and paging.
CS:IP = segmented address
After doing the appropriate transformations, you get a linear address.
And once you look up the linear address in a page table, you get
the physical address.
Linear address makes sense even when paging is disabled. If paging
is enabled, linear = virtual.
