installing from SCSI CD drive

Hi

1 of our SCSI hard disk crashed :( 

Now im trying to get RHL6.2 up on another SCSI HDD
(Now i know why IDEs are less bother)

Im facing a problem..
Install program loads and hangs after it says... "Loading driver for xxxx"

is there some other way of going abt it as the CDROM is also a SCSI
device??

Can any 1 tell me how get some data from a crashed hard disk.. 
sounds foolish, but i cant help it; got some code that me and others
around need badly...
