Interesting to know about Python. We have been Perl freaks till now (it
is good enuff for us) but now we'll experiment with Python too. The
portability surprises me.

        You have C/C++/Perl. Then you have an amazing language called
Python. When it comes to learnability, ease of use and Rapid App
Development, there is simply nothing to beat Python. You will be
surprised to find that using Python + Tk, you can create GUI apps
with as much ease as VB. Add to this the fact that your GUI app
will run without modification on Windows too. The large number
of standard libraries allows you to do anything from CGI scripting
to image manipulation and numeric computation.
        Given its amazing power and simplicity, it is a pity that
few people are using it in India (or am I mistaken?). Why not give
it a try? Check out the Python website http://www.python.org.
