[LI] help: Compiling PINE 4.21
Hello
I downloaded a tarball with PINE 4.21 and issued tar -xvpf pine4.21.tar.
So, I get all the files untarred into a folder /root/pine4.21
When I gave the command "build lnx" - it asks me "Most newer versions of
Linux prefer build slx. Continue y/n?". Can somebody clarify?
And after building it, all the stuff is still in the root directory. What
do I copy where, and what do I delete? All the binaries have to be copied
to /usr/bin I imagine.
Sorry for the rather basic post - but I've got into the habit of using
rpm :( And tarballs usually specify ~where~ they have to be unpacked
first, or am I missing something? (I rather think I ~am~ missing
something basic). Help (a mini HOWTO, preferably) would be welcome.
TIA
