Well  I guess that might help !!
And regarding /etc/profile, I want the shell script to be executed when the
client
gets connected ( like /etc/issue ) and not after the client logins !

Possibly you can do that by keeping only an exact number of
/dev/[tp]ty[a-ep-z0-9][a-ep-z0-9]. I am not sure - but should work.

Why not /etc/profile?
