Hi there,

Even I have the same sound card. If you are using RH 6, or above, you MUST compile the sound support as a moudule, ane not NOT in the kernel.

I don't know what is causing the problem, but try this. Add
(ISOLATE CLEAR)
to you /etc/isapnp.conf

You may also have to add
(READPORT 0x203)
to /etc/isapnp.conf. I use 0x203, but it can be different for your
hardware.

see 'man isapnp.con'


Maybe this (in /etc/isapnp.conf) will help debugging...
(VERBOSITY 3)
