[LI] powerfull email app for shell account

I want to download my e-mails from multiple e-mail accounts (presently
four). I will also be receiving very high volume of mails since I am
subscribed to many list servers (around 300 mails/day). I want to use rules
on the emails to drop them in the respective folders (eg, mail from
linux-india will be automatically moved to its own folder).

I presently use outlook express under Win98 and all of the above is possible
in it. Now I want to switch to Linux. But only through shell access (NOT
through X Windows).

I am already familiar with pine from VSNL shell account. I have also heard
about 'mutt' and 'mail'. What is the best solution? I want POWER insead of
ease of use, and only thro' shell (command line prompt).
