Well, almost no! 

aktion is basically a wrapper over xanim. So aktion
will play what the xanim can play. As of now, xanim
do not have complete mpeg support. So aktion won't be 
able to play most .dat or .mpeg files.

Get a software called zzplayer to play mpeg files. It
will play most of the .dats ripped from VCDs. I feel that
zzplayer needs some more work to make it play all .dats.
Also it would be trivial to make it play VCDs directly.

Anyone working on it?
