try ./a.out
this is becoz of path variable not being set
to set the path give
$export PATH=$PATH:/home/<whatever the path of your executables>

when i use cc it produces the a.out file. but typing a.out gives out the
error about not an executable file. do i have to set up a link or something
to get this going.
