My monitor too is TVM LR4G and the monitor refresh rate lines
are as follows ( as per my manual ) :

 HorizSync   31.5 - 48.5

 VertRefresh 50-70

After putting the above in /etc/XF86Config, I got 1024x768 resolution /16bpp 
with my SiS6215 card.
