Re: [LI] Problems with kernel modules
Hi dude,
Nuthin is wrong with your procedure ! Everything is alright !!
Cause the program which I gave was a module which
would panic when unloaded and that is what happened to you !
And I did tell you that we were trying to panic the kernel
and we got the necessary output !!
And to see the printk statements, do a dmesg
and you shall see what you want !!
So you are on the right track !! Enjoy!
Happy Hacking !!

P.S: And you forgot to add an important output
Panic when dereferncing a null pointer ;-)

I tried the same thing with the -c option added to the command line. I
did not get any message at all when I tried insmod panic.o. I then said
lsmod and could see the module listed there. rmmod panic gave me the
following output:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Oops: 0002
CPU: 0

What could be going wrong ?
