[LI] Wine problem



I have installed wine of 14/11/99.
I am getting the following error.
Warning: could not find wine.conf [Drive x] entry for current working
directory /home/lvgandhi; starting in windows directory.
Virtual memory exhausted.
 my drives are as follows in wine.conf
[Drive C]
Path=/winc
Type=hd
Label=MS-DOS
Filesystem=win95

[Drive D]
Path=/wind
Type=hd
Label=MS-DOS
Filesystem=win95

[Drive E]
Path=/mnt/cdrom
Type=cdrom
Label=CD-Rom
Filesystem=win95

[Drive F]
Path=/tmp
Type=hd
Label=Tmp Drive
Filesystem=win95

[Drive G]
Path=/home/lvgandhi
Type=network
Label=Home
Filesystem=win95

[wine]
Windows=c:\\windows

SymbolTableFile=/usr/lib/wine.sym

Mesa libs are installed.
Where I have gone wrong? 
When I installed wine of 0399, it works with same wine.conf. But it runs
notepad only and some other win16 programs. It doesn't run excel or
word.
Help solicited. If anybody who is running sucessfully wod or excel,
kindly send your wine.conf file alomng with details of wine release to
my mail address please.
