 It is  possible. I remember going through a program
called  linuxsniffer.c some time back we can read any
thing that comes to your network.

 Please do an altavista search for linuxsniffer
Many versions and makes of this is out there . Go
through  it

 If you want a readymade solution try out cold

   ( Potentialy very dangerous in the hands of
hackers)
