I installed linux in one new machine having a ST.. harddisk .. after
completing the installation it says /dev/hdb5 (Linux root partition) is
not on the first disk but it did the installation .. and I wrote the lilo
loader in the MBR .. after restarting after showing L it started giving
0's and 1's .. I went thru the FAQ also it told to do change the access
mode to LBA .. but no fortune with that .. of course I didnt try with 
< 513 M / partition .. as it says if ur bios doesnt support LBA mode . the
hard disk is the primary slave where as primary master is the CDROM drive
.. can anybody suggests some solution on this?
