RE: [LI] Is it Possible ?

Hi!!
Firstly, i do not know why u had probs with installing RH6.1. I have a
166(32 mb ram) (nothing significantly diff from a 100mhz 32 mb ram) and have
installed RH6.1 on a meagre 400mb partition since i have a HDD of 2.1 gb.
coming to ur second question, i think u can run the same updt file on RH5.2
and it must work fine. or else u can try copying the bz2 file that is in pcq
nov cd and manually extracting the files. do send me ur exact comp
specifications and i shall also give it a shot and we can try reasoning out
why u had so much of a problem in RH 6.1.

KAR.

Subject: [LI] Is it Possible ?

Hi List,

After trying a tons of times and finally getting disappointed from RedHat
6.1
installation (on my poor P100 with 32 MB RAM. Thanxs a lot for all those who
tried to answer).

Can i somehow use JDK in RedHat 6.1 CD on RedHat 5.2. If yes then please
tell me
the new rpm to be installed and also how to unzip bz2 file in RedHat 5.2 (as
jdk
is in bz2 format).

TIA
- Vikram
