[LI] Minutes Sunday Meeting

Dear Linuxers

Last sunday the meeting of ILUG-BOM was held at Revolution Informatics in
Wilson College, near Chowpatty.  About 27 enthusiasts attended the meeting.
After introductions a question answer session was held.  This was followed
by an introductory lecture on Mail on Linux by me.  Started the lecture with
how to get mail to the local spool using fetchmail.  A simplified
presentation of essential sendmail configuration was also presented.  After
that few of the essential configuration issues of squid were also discussed.
Sandesh Rao has enriched the lecture with few additional points as and when
needed.  On the whole there was a good participation from the members.

Kulkarni, Harshad, Prakash Advani, Viabhav Patkar, Pablo have offered to
speak in the following meetings on Device drivers, filesystems, Indian
Linux, Networking and diskless system respectively.

Kaustubh Butala of RI, who hosted the meet has informed the gathering about
the Linux Seminar held by IACC at Centaur Hotel on 23-24 Nov.

Prakash Shetty has given few more CDs free to LUG, which have been
distributed to the members.  I will inform the members in a latter mail
about what other CDs LUG has after taking stock of the situation.

Kaustubh has welcomed volunteers on the coming sunday to install linux on
about 30 PCs.
