For others watching this thread - remember that ZIP disks are vfat by
default, with the partion at /dev/sda4.

I have the following in my /etc.fstab:

/dev/sda4    /mnt/zip    vfat    noauto 0 0

This allows me to mount the ZIP drive with the command

mount /mnt/zip

The

alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc 

in /etc/conf.modules will also fix your printer problems (no lp* found).
