[LI] How to install new packages.

Hi,
I need to know what are the steps invloved in installing a new package.
All i know is that there is a collection of .RPM files.
But how to make use of those files. I see there are two executable files
by the name of "rpm" and "rpm-boot".
What i feel is that the file "rpm" is to be used for the installation.
Suppose i were to install Netscape on my system, where would i find the
relevant RPM and how would i go about installing it on my system.
