You should type startx.
Type  X -probeonly > /tmp/x.value 2>&1
and then cd /tmp and 
less x.value to debug what is happening.

I have tried that also. I am giving the error I get

execve failed for /etc/X11/X
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect : cant connect
xinit : connection refused (err no 11)
xinit : no such process server error
