this is a common problem wit the SiS6215 model based on a SiS6205 chipset. and the soln lies in the /etc/X11/Xf86Config file. try configuring out this file correctly by editing it with the correct paramaters of your system. and if you still have any problem , get back to me at gauravb@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and i'll send you a configured working sample of this file.

I am puzzled too. I too faced the same problem and had to revert back
to the SVGA server from CHIP CD.
