[LI] more than 4 GB

Hi!!
has anyone tried to install linux on a partition that is not in the first 4
GB of the hard disk. Disk druid gives an error saying partition too big. but
if u create a partition that is within the first 4 gb it is accepted. what
is the reason behind this?? also, how is the mbr written ?? does my problem
have anything to do with the length of the jump instruction in the
mbr(obviously, to load linux lilo there must be a jump instruction implanted
in the mbr, or so i feel)?? anyone having any clue about these, please mail.
also how does this go if i have more than one hard disk??

KAR.
