Dear Rohit,

 Refresh rates are not the only way to compare graphics cards. Choose one
which installs painlessly and gives good performance in your primary
application. You don't need an expensive 3D accelerator unless you are a
serious gaming enthusiast.

The Riva TNT is an industry leading 3D and 2D accelerator. - Used by Gamers
worldwide. Costs a packet too.

 Read recommendations from others on this list to choose your graphics card.
And for heavens sake, if you buy a SIS card, read the archives on how to
configure X properly.

What is the size of your monitor ? Resolutions above 1024 X 768 make sense
only if you plan on investing in a >=17 inch monitor. In case you are
planning on a >= 17 inch monitor, check the monitor's capabilities first.
Most vendors sell two classes of monitors : the base models and the high end
ones. Only the high end monitors support the refresh rates that modern cards
are capable of. You will need to match your monitor's capability with your
card and your needs.

 About refresh rates : Refresh rate refers to the number of times the entire
screen can be re-painted (with a new image) in one second. Most 15 inch
monitors do not even support the high refresh rates supported by the cards
you mentioned. So you cannot run in >80 Hz though your card may support 120
Hz.
