[LI] x-server

Hi,
One of our machines use KDE desktop. when i do 'alt-f1' and chamge to
text mode from the x-window system, and then again try to come back
later by doing 'alt-f7', a message appears
saying "error in connecting to x-server" and it never does connect and
so x-window does not come up. Anybody has any idea what might be
wrong.
basically i am not able to switch between X and text using alt keys.
