try this out :

1. during post of the sytem,  notice the IRQ number listed against multimedia.
   generally it would be IRQ 12 for multimedia card on a pci slot.
2. with the sysadmin utility goto the kernel section.  look for the module
   es1371.  fill in the IRQ number as detected in your system and enable for
   load at boot time.
3. you would also have to ensure you have the sound modules and other sound
   associated modules ( eg : sound, v_midi ) to be loaded.
