Dear Folks,

Atul:
>Strange - when did PCQ announce that is was shipping RedHat 6.*1*??????

Hope springs eternal ;-). Where there is hope, there is life. Where there is
life, sooner or later there ought to be Linux. <axiom of CS>

Something else I've wondered - is there some mechanism by which we can get
to know what are the contents of the Linux section of the PCQ CD? For
example, I'd rather not download the X files, if I knew they are on the CD.
Or for the edification of all those SIS6215C (no groans, please!) fans, the
drivers for em?

That's something I've wondered about - how about bug fixes - security
vunerables and other patches - are they shipped - should they be , could
they be - the community should answer this. I'd like to add that in a recent
faceoff (NT/ Linux) NT used their latest service pack while Linux left 22
publically documented holes in place.

The Linux system was cracked (if I remember with some cron bug...) leading
to this whole discussion on /. on whether bug fixes should be bundled
together so that normal users (and not all those sysads who are here who
follow bugtrack and other stuff!!!) can slap em on, and stay safe. Atul -
what says you?

ReSourcefully,
M
