This patch is also available in the RPM format, which has been built
on a RedHat 5.2 i386 system. For more details, see

More about this

This is not a separate set of utilities that are installed as add-ons
to Qmail. This is a set of patches that modifies the stock Qmail 1.03
source code to add sophisticated anti-spam features. Qmail is a
bare-bones, basic MTA. It serves its purpose well, but lacks several
popular anti-spam features.

Over time, a plethora of patches have been released for qmail. The
purpose of this patch is twofold: Provide a single patch consisting of
all the popular anti-spam patches out there and
provide advanced, programmable filtering during the SMTP transaction,
instead of having Qmail accept the message, then filtering it
afterwards. This is accomplished by using either procmail, or
maildrop, to filter mail during SMTP, before mail is accepted for
delivery.

Requirements
You will need to obtain the following packages in order to install
these patches:

Qmail 1.03 from http://www.qmail.org.

Tcpserver 0.84 from http://pobox.com/~djb/ucspi-tcp.html.

The current version of maildrop from
http://www.flounder.net/~mrsam/maildrop/. This is a (GPL licensed)
standalone mail filter that these patches integrate into Qmail. If
maildrop doesn't work on your system, this patch can use procmail as a
substitute. HOWEVER: using maildrop is preferred, it is a much more
secure mail filter. Only use procmail if it is absolutely necessary.
Furthermore, you must upgrade to procmail 3.11pre7, earlier versions
of procmail will NOT work.
