[LI] Telnet problem

I have installed Linux on a high-end machine
(RedHat 6.0 of Chip-August-99). 

There is a very strange problem. When I 
"telnet" from any machine in the network
to the Linux server, it takes about 5 minutes
to establish a telnet session

Can someone help me out on this ?..
