Re: [LI] regarding GUIs
Hi there,
while this thread is on, i would like to ask :
my BE project on Network Intrusion Detection Systems
involves mostly unix+c programming and
i wish to introduce a minimal graphical UI to display some results
neatly. Since, I have, as yet, no experience in GUI prgming on Linux, I
would like to
know which is the best & easiest GUI prog lang available for Linux ?
Due to the non-commercial nature of the project,
my priorities ( in dec order of imp) for this package would be:
- compatible with RHL6.x
- available on any one of the PCQ's CDs (incl the Nov 99 issue)
- The GUI must run OUTSIDE X-Windows!!
- easy to learn
- stable
- very well documented (tutorials and stuff)
- cool appearance
thanks a lot IA,
james.
