says who ??? Almost every card that i have configured for the last 4 years
seemed to support dynamic resolution changes e.g. 640x480 to 800x600 to
1024x768 etc.... :-)

This is the first one i have encountered which is not doing so, but i have
not given up !

It seems that multiple resolutions will not be supported by ANY chip...
