[LI] compression of jpg files
hi everybody,
sorry for this late reply.... :( i was a little busy.
there is this s/w called sea viewer for dos which further compresses
any jpg file to a file format called progressive jpg... without much
change in the quality of the image and the size gets reduced
considerably....
however these compressed files can only be viewed form within a html
page or this particular s/w ( actually i tried viewing the compressed
file through paint shop pro 3.0 , microsoft photo editor , wangs
imaging and old versions of adobe photoshop but could not open it )
so if u intend to put these images on the web.... u can happily do
so.... the images gets loaded much faster as these files are smaller....
this s/w can be got from www.photodex.com but go through the license
agreement.... :)
i hope this will be useful for ur purpose
bye
chetu
