Linux is functionally Y2K compliant, but if you need actual certification,
only RedHat Linux 5.2 and RedHat Linux 6.0 are Y2K *certified*, though all
other *recent* distributions should be Y2K *compliant*.

Linux 2.0.29 only indicates the version of your kernel - not the entire
system.
