Do not install compiled binaries in /usr/local/bin in a  Debian
GNU/Linux system.  The Policy Manual states that this has to be set as
/usr/bin.  Please read the Package Maintainer's Guide too.  The Policy
doc and the Maint. doc are real good pointers.
