I would suggest you try the following settings for your monitor, and BTW did
you manage to get the XFCom_Sis server ?, and also the archive for my
earlier postage on this subject.

We happily run the SIS AGP on 3 systems with LG + Sony + SAMTRON, monitors.

a) Try the settings below for Samtron:

HorizSync   31.4-37.5
VertRefresh 55-75

b) when you use the XF86setup and **do not probe the clock settings"

c) Also in the file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/Cards

Add the following lines before running xf86config (somewhere around the SIS
cards)

NAME SiS 6326
CHIPSET SIS6326
SERVER XFCom_SiS
NOCLOCKPROBE


d) mind you you must have correct H & V freq settings for your monitor, for
X to work correctly.

let me know what happenned after all the above, should work
