That's *exactly* what you should *not* do.

The Netbeui protocol is a horror - works entirely on broadcasts, saturates a
LAN and is about as useless as a protocol can be. Additionally, it
interferes with other protocols and is not routable.

Don't *EVER* use Netbeui - if you find it installed on your machine, delete
it like the horrid virus that it can be described as.

No system admin in his right mind would allow Netbeui to run on his LAN.

TCP/IP is now the *only* protocol to be used. Even Novell has discontinued
its IPX/SPX protocols, and Microsoft no longer installs Netbeui by default.
