Suggestion to PCQUEST.

Hi,
Here are some more suggestions,

1. The people who switch from window to linux stumbled upon the back
space and delete key on the first login. Debian has resolved this
problem to some extent. If pcqupdt can modify some files like .inputrc
then delete and back space key would work as in dos/win.
2. Another area where newbie get stuck up is X configuration. In 90%
cases the monitor and mouse parameter are same. The variation is only in
display card. Can pcquest can make some standard files for different
display card like sis, cirus logic, s3 and configure complete X via
pcqupdt with minimum or no question asked.
3. The network card is another such area ( linuxconf is no doubt useful
). Usually the network are small and a standard configuration like
198.162... would suffice. A separate network card (shell based)
configuration utility (again no question asked ) would also be of
immense help.

The chip cd has washed out the image which pcquest has created for
linux. So in the interest of linux, pcquest should come out with their
cd at the earliest.

BTW does any one know that smb.conf file bundled with chip RH6.0 has a
guest account as pcquest?
