Re: Help in gatewaying - more info about network

hello

thanx for you reply atul.

infact i know what goes behind the scenes when we run pcqupdt.

i have done all those changes to rc.fw and rc.local myself.

but still iwas getting the error. In fact i was spoilt by pcq cd's but i
spent one whole night and tried to work out the hard way. and even after
your suggestion i ran the pcqupdt script but it was of no use since the
redhat 6 in chip cd does not contain ipfwadm and contains ipchains for ip
firwalling and masq.

now what my problem is that why the nodes are getting 'time out' error. ?

Of course gatewaying is enabled, that is why nodes show time out error when
server is connected to net and show network unreachable when server is
disconnected.

well after a lot of pondering i think i shall have to set up this time out
value somewhere in server .. but where .. that is puzzle for me.

anyway thanx for ur help.

amit goel
