problem

hi!
i'm Raghav Rathi a Ist year BE student. i recently installed Linux Red-Hat 
5.0 (distributed in PC-Quest) on my laptop to replace windows 95. my laptop 
is a Compaq Presario 1220. It has a 200 MHz Media-GX chip which has onboard 
sound & video functions i am told. i am unable to run X-windows on my system 
because i cannot configure the graphics card or monitor in Xconfigurator. 
also it gives 3 errors during bootup saying PCI device not recognised. also, 
how do run a program in linux , eg. a game in the games directory.
i will be most grateful if you can solve my problems.
