pgaccess & postgres error

Hi friends,

After reading the documentation I was able install postgress and created the
databases. I have set all the environment variables in /etc/profile. But when
linux tries to start postgres service on startup it gives me error pointing to
to the path that the database not found cannot open file pg_class. But
that file is present in /usr/lib/pgsql/data/base/postgres directory.

Secondly, when I start pgaccess in KDE it gives me the following error :
- -----------------------------------------------------
Error in startup script : couldn't load file 'libpgtcl.so' "
'libpgtcl.so':cannot open shared object file :No such file or directory
	While executing
"load libpgtcl.so"
	(procedure "main" line 6)
	invoked from within
"main $argc $ argv"
file "/usr/bin/pgaccess" line 4954
- -----------------------------------------------------

There is a file in /usr/lib named libpgtcl.so.2.0. I am using Red Hat Linux 6.0
and my Postgres version is 6.4.

What is wrong ?
Waiting for your response. Thanks in advance.
