No prob with the port. Edit the /etc/rc.c/init.d/gpm file
and add -R to the line with "daemon gpm -t $MOUSETYPE"

Now use /dev/gpmdata as your pointer device in /etc/XF86Config
with MouseSystems as the protocol. See man gpm for more
info.
