I say:
I assume you are talking about the Parallel Port version.
Find out a way to enable SCSI support. The most convienient for me would be
to reinstall/upgrade.
When you reach the "Do you have SCSI?" say 'YES'. (Remember to have your
iomega plugged in and powered on).
In the list of devices there, you will see IOMega somewhere, select that.
In the next screen make it "autoprobe". If that does not work, you might
want to check the connections and try again, or else you will have to
manually enter the parameters (Linus help you!(Linux is God)).
Now when you get to the partitioning point, you might face a problem if you
haven't put in a cartridge in the iomega drive. It will say there is an
error on /dev/sda1 or something like that. Skip this drive. We don't want
to install our kernel on the zip drive!
I guess thats it for the installation.
Now when you do boot, you would have to try something like this
mkdir /mnt/zip
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/zip
cd /mnt/zip
ls
clear
etc.
the /dev/sda1 might change for you to something else. also remember to
mke2fs the media if needed.
glad to help out and bye for now.
