I continue to maintain that I have no problems at all getting through to
hotmail if I go via www.msn.com, using any browser under any OS, including
Windows, Linux and BeOS.

There are issues involving www.hotmail.com, and they have been around for
a while. One thing I suspect is that Microsoft is killing the name
"hotmail" in favour of its own MSN. It may also be making hotmail IE5
specific.
