hi linux
well there is not much difficulty in setting up ur apache web server . There
is a good documentation available when u untar the apache tar ball.
For a bare min installation u just have to give the base install directory
typically /usr/local/apache .. For more exotic flavours u can even configure
where u want ur document , manual directory etc to be ...
Also if u want to know the layout of all the directory where apache will be
installed try typing
./config --prefix=/ur_default_dir --layout
This will list out the directory layout . Please ensure the syntax from the
readme file ( my memory is a bit rusty )
