CHIP CDs - NO PROBLEM!!!

Hi all,
After much debate I finally decided to install
Red Hat 6.0 from the CHIP Special CD.
Initially , I could not boot from the CDRom.
Then I tried the autoboot.bat file in the dosutils directory. Unfortunately the path for the initrd.img file is wrongly specified in the autoboot.bat file.
So I executed "loadlin <path for initrd.img > " at the dos prompt . The installation started this time.
I selected the work-station option & the installation went about smoothly. Even my graphics card ( SiS 6326 ) was also configured ina breeze & I have the whole system up & running. Even LILO was configured automatically for Linux & WINNT 4.0
I guess I am one of those lucky guys considering the problems people are facing with the CDs.

Any way, I have one question. By default , Linux is starting with the 8-bit 640x480 mode.
How do I change this to 800x600 mode.
Please help me out on this.

cheers,
Karthik K H
