httpd failure

Hi friends,

Thanks for all the replies.

My /etc/hosts file has got the following contents :

127.0.0.1        localhost.localdomain

My problem is sometimes during booting linux this file gets overwritten by a
blank hosts file and I get the error httpd    failed. I have to again type the
above contents in the file. This overwriting of file happens after every two
rebootes.

Why is this happening ? What should I do to prevent it.
