Set the path for the directory under which doom is installed
(/usr/games/doom-1.8). run the script rundoom, it will check your display
and run sdoom (for SVGA) or xdoom accordingly.
One more thing, I have tried this under Windowmaker running at 1024X768 (16
bit). I got an error saying that only 8-bit display is supported.
With regards,

Subject: DOOM error
Hi everybody,
I have installed doom from PCQ CD March 98.
When I try to run xdoom it gives error saying that
Game Mode Indeterminate.
Hoping that some of you might have faced the same problem.
What should I do to run DOOM on linux.
Thanking in advance.
