RE: something about sis6215c cards.

Hi,

I am using RedHat Linux 5.2 (Apollo) on my PC. I have a SiS 6215
video card. till now i was only able to run X-WIndows in VGA16 mode. There
is only one SiS driver - SiS SG86C201 that comes with the Linux on the PCQ
CD. Try this driver, with the SVGA server. I am now able to run X-Windows in
SVGA mode at 1024X768 (64k colours).

Use XF86Setup and select the SiS SG86C201 driver and sissg86c205 as the
chipset. Also set the video mode at 1024X768 and 64K colours.

With Regards,

Subject: something about sis6215c cards.

I have surf the website for xfree86.org with intension to find out something
about sis6215.
I have found that there are two vga cards supported by xfree86. I have
listed it here in the same manner as website does..

SiS SG86C205 ........................................... XF86_SVGA
SiS SG86C215 ........................................... XF86_SVGA.

Now look at this. We have a driver called SiS SG86C215 for sis6215 then why
pcq
suggest me to install it with driver SiS SG86C205 when i am using sis6215?

Any one have idea from where i can find SiS SG86C215.

Kunal
