Hi Arun,

When I do ypacat passwd. I get the following error message

No such map passwd.byname. Reason: can't bind to server which serves this
domain

But I've got a file  passwd.byname in the directory /var/yp/nis.domain

nis.domain is  my nis doaminname


Even, I've followed the script /usr/lib/yp/ypinit and the execution seemed
to be quite satisfactory
